The segment art style, which I developed several years ago, features in all my abstract art, as well as some of my figurative works. It has become my brand mark.
Wherever we go, we encounter images in the form of segments. The interlocking architecture of old villages or the skyscrapers in modern metropolis such as New York, Hong Kong and Frankfurt are a case in point. The buildings standing side by side resemble, segments. Similarly, warehouses storing timber, panels and other materials of this kind are segmented, as are storage racks and steel constructions. And anyone who is familiar with share prices or sales statistics will recognize the vertical segments captured in bar charts and tables. Even a beech forest in winter can be broken down into segments.
Based on this vertical segmentation, I have developed a style called “Segment-art”. I apply the same principle to my painted “Beams” - four-sided pillars that can be combined in a group as an “installation” or leaned against a wall.
With my extensive experience, I can bring my demonstrable creativity and performance-driven approach to bear on the world of corporate art. For me, achievement is part of the creative process. I have the ability to see not only the superficial and the total overview but also the fine detail..
Art is my calling - an opportunity to grow and blossom. Indeed, I have always wanted to be an artist. I love colors, pure colors. That’s why instead of mixing them, I apply them onto each other directly on the canvas or wood and steel construction. Seen through the eyes of the viewer, they merge to create a whole result.
It is fascinating to look at my works very close to see the texture of the pallet knife strokes and colors.
