A proverb says, that a picture says more than a thousand words.
Thus, I have painted pictures of words. At the beginning it was only for fun. I like creating this type of work. There are a thousand words to be painted. In a way, it is a type of calligraphy, with a small measure of graffiti and maybe also a little bit of pop-art mixed in. The way I portray the letters already puts across the meaning of the words. In most cases I use pastel shades. But for some words, such as SEX and COOL, I use reds or blues, which creates a particular atmosphere. I could even imagine creating a whole series in shades of red or blue. I call this series “picchiography”, which portrays my typical aspects of these creations.
If three or four picchiographies are placed side by side, new words, pictures and colors are created. The results are usually very exciting.
