Sonogno is situated at the end of the Verzasca valley, an old village right in the very heart of the mountains. The church has a circular shape, with a roof made of heavy granite slabs. In my painting the church tower is in the center of the village and the surrounding mountains. Again, my segments follow the diagonal lines of the roofs.
