“SCULPTURE”

Abstract painted segments of wood, assembled into interesting installations and simply placed in space, as a three-dimensional image, this is the idea that I have implemented here with my Segment Art style plastic. Mostly there are two different images in different shades. Depending on the point of view, the viewer gets a different view.

These abstract sculptures

"Art-in-space" are made of glued wooden elements. The elements are 150 cm high and 40 cm wide and 8 cm thick. The respective shapes were glued firmly together.

Although the base area is small, the painted area is up to 150 x 400 cm.

Although I always use the same wooden panels, there is a great variety of combinations and designs that are interesting even without painting. Here is a selection of my ideas as models that I still want to make.

Skulptur gelb-rot-schwarz

Nr. 105

Sculpture “Red- Black/Blue-Black”

The segments are slightly offset next to each other. They are painted yellow-red-black or white-blue-black and are connected in the black area. Depending on the point of view, you can see different colors. The whole thing looks compact, but quite heavy (although only 24 kg) and you do not suspect that the painted area is 400 cm wide at a height of 150 cm.

(Only suitable for indoor use).

Skulptur Beige-Violet/Blue-Brown

Nr. 106

Sculpture “Beige-Violet/Blue-Brown”

Due to the bright pastel colors, this three-dimensional image looks very friendly: sometimes in light beige and sometimes in light blue-yellow. In addition, light and shadow have an effect. The element protruding from one side makes the installation interesting.

(Suitable for indoor use only).

Total painted surface:

150 x 300cm

Skulptur “Mangenta- Cyan/Orange-Blue”

Nr. 109

Sculpture “Mangenta- Cyan/Orange-Blue”

Strong summery pastel tones, like light blue and orange respectively cyan and magenta are interrupted by a yellow, red respectively blue dot. The typical panels of my Segment Art style jump apart at this point.

(Suitable for indoor use only).

Total painted area:

150 x 300cm

Skulptur “Yellow- Green/Blue”

Nr. 113

Sculpture “Yellow- Green/Blue”

Fresh spring colors, such as light yellow-green on one side and light blue on the other, and the elements arranged in an angle bring vitality to the room.

(Suitable for indoor use only).

Total painted area:

150 x 200 cm

Skulptur “Yellow- Orange/Yellow-Blue”

Nr. 118

Sculpture “Yellow- Orange/Yellow-Blue”

A completely different shape, changing from each side, results from a segment attached at an angle. The colors are very fresh in light orange-beige on one side and light blue-yellow on the other.

(Suitable for indoor use only).

Total painted area:

150 x 200 cm

Skulptur “Yellow- Brown/Violet-Blue”

Nr. 115

Sculpture “Yellow- Brown/Violet-Blue”

Here one has the impression that the middle segment is falling straight down. This protruding part makes this sculpture appear wide; but it remains narrow. The tones of brown-beige on one side are calm while the other side, spackled in blue-red-orange-beige-yellow, gives a vivid overall impression of purple.

(Suitable for indoor use only).

Total painted area:

150 x 300 cm

Skulptur “Blue/Red”

Nr. 117

Sculpture “Blue/Red”

Here I have placed only one element on a turntable. The segments are interrupted and the colors of both sides, blue and red, can be experienced by turning the whole sculpture.

(Suitable for indoor use only).

Total painted area:

150 x 100 cm
